Biography
Mr Charles Senkondo is an eLearning advisor, leadership and corporate governance trainer, and former Executive Director of the Tanzania Global Learning Agency (TaGLA)—a government executive agency dedicated to capacity development through innovative, technology-driven approaches. TaGLA was part of the Global Development Learning Network (www.gdln.org), a network of over 120 centers facilitating real-time knowledge exchange and virtual training worldwide.
With over 25 years of experience in distance and technology-enabled learning, Mr. Senkondo has made a significant impact on development knowledge sharing across Africa. His work includes leading the development and implementation of high-level executive programs, blended learning solutions, technology-based organizational transformation, and coordination of large-scale, multi-country learning events.
He serves as Director of the Association of African Distance Learning Centres (AADLC), a founding member and initiator of diverseICT based learning initiatives. Before leading TaGLA, he was Executive Director of the Tanzania Global Learning Centre, Business Manager at the African Virtual University of the Open University of Tanzania. His early career includes leadership roles in manufacturing industry management.
Mr. Senkondo holds an MBA from City University, London, and a BSc in Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
