Biography

Chancy Mauluka has a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre and Media for Communication in Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Humanities. He has more than 10 years of experience in development and health communication coupled with educational skills and practice. Chancy has worked for the Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM), Management Sciences for Health (MSH), the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (JHUCCP), the Share World Open University and the Ministry of Education in Malawi. He is a Board Chairman of the Art and Global Health Center Africa (AGHCA) and a founder of the Development Communications Unit and Theatre International.mw. Chancy was a Commended Nominee in the 2011 University of Queensland Communication for Social Change Awards. The Awards recognize outstanding contributions made by individuals and organizations to the theory and practice of Communication for Social Change (CSC); specifically those that have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to using communication to transform and empower marginalized communities.
