Biography
Dr. Brian Halubanza is a distinguished computer scientist and AI researcher with expertise in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and ICT-driven capacity building. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (AI and IoT) from the University of Zambia, as well as master’s degrees in Information Technology Management and Business Administration. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Diploma in Secondary Education.
Currently serving as the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology at Mulungushi University, Dr. Halubanza has been instrumental in integrating AI, IoT, and digital learning strategies into higher education. His work focuses on harnessing emerging technologies to enhance educational delivery, build institutional capacity, and drive innovation.
Dr. Halubanza’s research spans AI-powered learning systems, cloud computing in education, and simulation-based learning environments. His efforts aim to bridge the digital divide by promoting scalable, tech-enabled learning models tailored for African contexts. A passionate advocate for digital inclusion, he continues to lead initiatives that empower educators and learners through technology.
