Biography
Anthony Hutia Nyutu is a seasoned education technology and digital transformation leader with more than 32 years of experience across Africa in ICT, telecommunications, digital learning, business leadership, and government engagement. He has spent the last two decades championing the use of technology to improve education access, digital inclusion, teacher empowerment, and learner outcomes across the continent.
Anthony currently serves as Government Affairs Laison – Africa at the Spix Foundation, where he works with Ministries of Education, EdTech founders, development partners, and ecosystem leaders to advance collaboration around digital public infrastructure for education (DPI-Ed) through the RESPECT framework.
Over the course of his career, Anthony has held senior leadership positions across some of the world’s leading technology and telecommunications organizations including Microsoft, Samsung, LG, Celtel, Kencell, and several African technology enterprises. He also played a key role in securing large-scale education technology agreements across countries including Kenya, Rwanda, Botswana, Morocco, and Cameroon.
