Biography
Dr Angelina Arrington is an education consultant with a particular interest in education and community development within the African Diaspora. She has served school communities in various capacities, including as a Vice Principal, Division Director, Director of Admissions, Classroom Teacher, University Instructor, Educational Consultant, and Tutor.
Her most recent international project in Ghana was a month-long research residency writing and implementing COVID-19 school policy and safety protocols in collaboration with the local Ghana Education Service Division.
At eLearning Africa 2023, Dr Angelina Arrington aims to shift the traditional teacher-centred paradigm of teaching towards a more student-centred paradigm that includes progressive instructional techniques to increase student engagement and academic success. Her workshop will show how participants can engage students in a culturally relevant and affirming context and increase their academic performance.
