Biography
Andrea Samantha Quaye is a peace and security practitioner with expertise in gender, youth engagement, and preventing violent extremism. Her work spans governance, conflict prevention, and capacity-building, with a growing focus on the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in peace and security.
At the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), she has contributed to the design and delivery of eLearning and training programmes that strengthen the capacity of professionals and communities across Africa. Her work supports knowledge development in areas including conflict prevention, preventing violent extremism, and inclusive governance.
Andrea has facilitated trainings and led multi-stakeholder dialogues on youth participation, women’s roles in peacebuilding, and community-based approaches to sustainable security across Ghana and the wider West African region. She is bilingual in English and French, enabling her to engage diverse audiences and support cross-regional collaboration.
She is committed to strengthening African-led approaches to governance and peacebuilding, with a particular focus on building local capacity to navigate the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies. She aims to support the translation of policy into practical, context-driven solutions that are responsive to local realities.
