Biography
Dr.-Ing. André Dietrich is a seasoned robotics and embedded software developer, currently serving as a researcher at the Technical University Bergakademie of Freiberg in Germany, renowned as the oldest continuously operating university of mining and metallurgy globally.
His primary research focuses on language design and paradigms, alongside the utilization of new web technologies for online education.
In 2023, attendees of the DIY session on instant creation and publication of interactive courses delved into the fundamentals of LiaScript, gaining invaluable insights into LiaScript's integration with Web 3 technologies.
This year, a workshop on LiaScript will also be conducted. However, in this year's session, we will pivot our focus towards collaborative methodologies for course creation and the establishment of online classrooms leveraging web 3 technologies.
Moreover, these web 3 technologies can be extended to facilitate the sharing of complete remote laboratories over the internet. In the Discovery Demo "Expanding the Concept of Open Educational Resources to Remote Laboratories" Sebastian Zug and André Dietrich will demonstrate how anyone with a browser can share hardware resources. No backend, no login - everything is open and open-source.
