Amo Duodu

Biography

Ing. Amo Duodu is an Electrical & Electronic Engineer and a Corporate Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GHIE). He earned a bachelor’s degree (BEng) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and a Postgraduate Degree (MSc) in Wireless Communications Systems Engineering from the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom (UK). He works for the Volta River Authority (VRA), as the Principal Training Officer in Charge of Protection & Control (P&C). Ing. Duodu's professional journey showcases his multifaceted skills. He has not only designed, developed, and implemented numerous short courses covering areas like Generator Protection, Transformer Protection, Governor Controls, Excitation Controls, Blueprint Reading, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) but has also created various training packages for electronic learning (E-Learning). Additionally, his contributions extend to the realm of research, with several publications in the field of energy security and sustainability. With a deep passion for his work, Ing. Duodu has dedicated years to training a significant number of Technician engineers and engineers specializing in protection and control, encompassing both Thermal Generation and Hydro Generation. Beyond his technical prowess, he is distinguished by his strong moral standards, values, and effective leadership skills.
