Biography
H.E. Amadou Ba, Prime Minister, The Republic of Senegal
H.E. Amadou Ba is the Prime Minister of the Republic of Senegal. He previously served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad from 2019 to 2020. With a master's degree in economics and a background in business management, Mr. Ba began his career in taxation and property in 1989. He held various positions within the General Directorate of Taxes and Domains, including Director General of Impôts et Domaines from 2006 to 2013. In September 2013, he was appointed as the Minister of Economy and Finance of Senegal, serving in that role until 2019.
As Prime Minister, Mr. Ba is committed to implementing the vision of the President of the Republic, which centers around the Emerging Senegal Plan. His mission focuses on improving household purchasing power, ensuring price stability, enhancing security, housing, sanitation, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and employment. He emphasizes the importance of carrying out these objectives within a framework of the rule of law.
