Alice Chemtai Muraguri

Biography

Alice Chemtai Muraguri is a distinguished learning and development expert with over 15 years of experience designing and delivering impactful training programs. Passionate about leveraging technology to transform education, she has advanced various learning modes in fields such as leadership and governance, taxation, gender, climate change, and public health.

As the Learning and Development Lead at the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), Alice spearheads strategic initiatives to enhance learning across Africa. She played a key role in launching Ubora Academy, a platform equipping public and private sector professionals, as well as civil society organizations, with skills tailored to Africa’s unique landscape. Her leadership-focused curricula include Leadership Excellence in Africa’s Public Sector (LEAPS) and Building Excellence in Taxation and Administration (BETA), implemented across African Union member states.

Her previous work spans gender and women’s leadership at Aga Khan University, public health and quality management at JHPIEGO (a Johns Hopkins University affiliate), and the Access to Space for All initiative under the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, ensuring inclusivity in education. She integrates cutting-edge tools such as augmented and virtual reality to enhance learner engagement.

Beyond her professional roles, Alice has contributed to education policy as a former Board Member of the Kenya Education Network (KENET), advising on online learning advancements. With a track record of fostering innovation and collaboration, she continues to develop transformative learning solutions that address critical challenges in Africa and beyond.
