Biography
Abel Ohene Acquaye is an education entrepreneur and talent development leader focused on expanding opportunities for young African learners through academic innovation and global exposure. He is the Executive Director of the Academic Talent Development Program (ATDP), where he designs and leads initiatives that identify, nurture, and support high-potential students across Ghana. Through programmes including The Sharks Quiz, The Orators, the Ghana Tech & STEM Olympiad, and Mathleticus, Abel has helped reach more than 100,000 students, connecting them to scholarships, mentorship, and international academic opportunities across over 20 countries. His work combines academic excellence with innovation-driven learning approaches aimed at strengthening talent development ecosystems in Africa. Abel also works extensively in international education partnerships and programme delivery, collaborating with organisations such as Microsoft Africa, Edves, Extramarks, and the Singapore International Mastery Competition Center. He additionally mentors education and technology startups, with a continued focus on scaling access, global exposure, and measurable learning outcomes for African students.
