Biography

Jasmine Turner (she/her) is an applied researcher in War Child Holland’s Research and Development department with a focus on the development and evaluation of education programmes in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research, under the supervision of Prof. Mark Jordans and Dr. Nikhit D’Sa, and a PhD fellow at the Amsterdam Institute of Global Health and Development.

Additionally, Jasmine is the lead researcher for War Child’s flagship education programme, Can’t Wait to Learn, and manager of an ongoing research programme on how to adapt and scale up education technology (EdTech) programmes in low-resource and conflict-affected settings. This research includes policy network analyses, measurement tool development, value for money analyses, participatory action research and a randomised controlled trial. Her research to date has been in Lebanon, Jordan, Chad, Uganda and Sudan.
