Biography
After Warren G Salmon graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) with a degree in Applied Computer Science, he continued his education in Artificial Intelligence and Economics at UBC and York University. He started Softec Software Services and signed contracts with a number of large corporations including XEROX, Apple, and IBM to provide software support.
He went on to found Ashaware.com, which is an Afrocentric Educational online platform that supports STEM, Social and Emotional Learning, as well as literacy, numeracy, and academic achievement. It also helps to promote and increase knowledge and understanding, motivation, and self-esteem. The platform provides current, historical, and interactive instructional content that highlights ancient and modern contributions of people of African descent. It is used internationally in schools, homes, libraries, universities, and community organizations.
