Biography
Sarjoh Aziz-Kamara currently serves as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education in Sierra Leone. He holds MBA from the University of Sunderland, MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from School of Oriental and African Studies and Post-graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute, UK. With over two decades of diverse experience spanning United Nations operations across Africa, the public sector, and non-governmental organisations, Sarjoh is recognised for advancing education transformation, institutional reform, peacebuilding, and security sector reform. He has played a pivotal role in promoting access to Higher Education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Sierra Leone, consolidating the gains of Human Capital Development. Currently, he provides strategic direction and policy guidance for higher and technical and vocational education and training, and skills for jobs for young people.
A staunch advocate for gender equality and inclusivity, he actively promotes opportunities for women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics (STEAM). Additionally, he champions the accessibility of higher education for disabled students, reflecting a steadfast dedication to fostering inclusive educational.
