Biography
Robert Maribe (Rob) Branch, Ed.D. is a Professor of Learning, Design, and Technology in the Mary Frances Early College of Education at the University of Georgia (UGA). Professor Branch teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Message Design, Instructional Design, Project Management and Technology for Teachers. His research focuses on applying diagrams to deconstruct complex conceptual relationships and other complicated flow processes, particularly those within STEM education. Dr. Branch has supervised 33 doctoral students as their major professor and more than 100 master’s students. He has published over 86 papers in refereed journals and authored 4 books. Dr. Branch has co-edited the Educational Media and Technology Yearbook for the past 27 years, and co-authored the book, Survey of Instructional Design Models. He is the author of the book: Instructional Design: The ADDIE Approach. Rob has used his experience as department head at UGA during a span of 15 years to hone his leadership skills. He is a trained facilitator in Reflective Structured Dialogue based on the philosophy espoused by Essential Partners, and he is a certified mediator and registered neutral with the State of Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
