Biography
Mo Xu, Ph.D. in Education, is a Senior Lecturer at the Graduate School of Education of Beijing Foreign Studies University and serves as the Deputy Secretary-General in China for the China-Africa Consortium of Universities Exchange Mechanism. Her research areas include Comparative Education, China-Africa Higher Education, Global Education Governance, The Belt and Road Initiative, and regional studies of education. Mo Xu earned her Ph.D. in Education from Beijing Foreign Studies University, her Master of Education from Vanderbilt University, and her Bachelor of Economics from Renmin University of China.
In terms of publications, Mo Xu has contributed extensively to the field, with notable works such as "Global Scan of Hotspots in Science Education in 2023" published in China Education Daily and "Top Ten Events in African Education in 2023" featured on China Net. Additionally, she has authored pieces like "The 10-year Anniversary of China-Africa Higher Education Cooperation: A Review and Outlook" in the Journal of World Education and "Comprehensive Advancement of Global Science Education Reform" in Shanghai Education.
Furthermore, Mo Xu has authored policy advisory reports, including those for the EU Think Tank in 2022. Her reports on topics such as "Moving Towards More Comprehensive Universities," "Overview of Foreign Education Policies" (Digital Education Edition), and "Pandemic Prevention and Control Policies for International Students in Developed Countries' Universities" were all adopted by the Education Management Information Center of the Ministry of Education.
