Biography
Louise Fullard is a South African education specialist renowned for her innovative approach to teaching and her contributions to integrating technology in education. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has been recognised for her commitment to transforming the educational landscape. Currently, she serves as a Deputy Chief Education Specialist (DCES) at the Mpumalanga Department of Education's head office, responsible for e-learning in the province. She holds a doctoral degree in International and Comparative Education, specialising in international education transformation. Career Highlights: National Teaching Awards: In 2019, Fullard secured first place in the "Excellence in ICT Enhanced Technology" category at the National Teaching Awards, held by the Department of Basic Education in South Africa. She was also awarded third place nationally in the Excellence in Secondary Schools category. Global Recognition: In 2020, she received a Global Teacher Award, further cementing her status as a leading figure in education. Advocacy for Technological Integration: Fullard is dedicated to engaging learning by integrating 21st-century skills such as communication, critical thinking and creativity into teaching methods through a blended-flipped classroom approach. Advocacy for Technological Integration: She emphasises the importance of understanding and embracing the Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR) epoch in education. With an intentional focus on AI-driven teaching and learning, she aims to equip learners with the skills necessary to navigate a rapidly changing world. Personal Philosophy: Fullard believes that educators have the power to be "agents of change," recognising the significant impact they can have on learners’ lives. She is particularly focused on empowering educational officials and educators with the digital skills necessary to transform their academic environments, in a quest to assist and support the current Z and Alpha generations, enabling them to thrive and succeed.
