Biography
Kennedy Kamau is a data scientist and education researcher at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). He supports the use of education data and evidence to advance equity and quality, ensuring that systems are responsive to the needs of all learners. His work focuses on strengthening education systems across East Africa through evidence-based approaches, with particular emphasis on developing practical tools for data management and sharing that bridge research, programming, and policy.
Kennedy is particularly interested in applying learning analytics and engineering to support teachers in enhancing instructional design and assessment. By enabling context-sensitive, tailored learning experiences, he seeks to drive inclusive education reforms that are scalable and sustainable across Africa.
