Biography
Dr. Hala Fawzi is a Sudanese scholar who works as an Assistant Professor in the English Language Education Department at Bahrain Teachers’ College, University of Bahrain. She is a teacher trainer, CALL specialist, and AI in education practitioner. She is a fellow of the Advance Higher Education Academy, UK, with a Ph.D. and MA in English Language Teaching. Dr. Fawzi has experience in teaching English in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. She has conducted workshops for teachers on integrating technology in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Nigeria. As an academic with proficiency in the intersection between technology and language education, her established areas of research encompass second language acquisition, blended learning, AI in education and for teacher professional development, and e-formative assessment. Outside of her academic work, Dr. Fawzi is strongly interested in global issues, particularly in Sudan and Gaza, informed by her humanitarian values and commitment to peace and justice.
