Biography

Dylan Harold Abakah is a young education innovator, policy advocate, and digital learning strategist dedicated to shaping the future of learning and technology in Africa. With a background in Industrial Engineering from KNUST, he brings systems thinking, research depth, and a strong digital transformation lens to education reform and institutional development.

At the KNUST E-Learning Centre, he serves as a Senior Administrative Assistant, contributing to instructional design, online programme coordination, and research-driven innovation. His commitment to youth empowerment is further expressed through his work with ACCESS Ghana, where he promotes soft skills development and employability research.

Dylan is a TechForward Policy Fellow with the Africa Centre for Digital Transformation (ACDT), where he contributes to research and advocacy for inclusive digital transformation. His work earned him the Communication Impact Award, recognizing his ability to translate policy ideas into compelling public narratives and community-centered impact. He further strengthened his policy and governance expertise through the Tech Policy Fellowship at the University of Ghana School of Law and GIZ Ghana, engaging in research on digital rights, AI governance, and equitable technology ecosystems.

Dylan’s portfolio includes leading and supporting high-impact initiatives such as:

– DT4SiR, advancing digital research capacity across African universities

– ACCESS 2.0 Future-Ready Programme, co-leading soft skills and e-portfolio development

– The Tech Foundations Compendium, a digital literacy resource grounded in Ghanaian and African policy

Driven by a commitment to equitable, future-ready education, Dylan focuses on digital agency for African youth, inclusive EdTech policy, Industry 5.0–aligned skills, and sustainable digital ecosystems. His long-term vision is to establish an NGO dedicated to educational futures, digital learning, and the creation of inclusive, technologically empowered learning environments across Africa.
