Biography
Christian Dorsch is Junior Professor of Geography Education at the University of Osnabrück.
His research focuses on the promotion of maturity-oriented education in geography, especially under the influence of digitality. He is particularly interested in the informal learning processes that take place in social media, e.g. in the fields of climate and climate change, and how teachers can use them for geography teaching. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at Goethe University Frankfurt. In his dissertation, he analysed the extent to which e-portfolio work in geography teacher training promotes a maturity-oriented education. In two projects he investigated how the different phases of teacher training can be more closely linked through the use of teaching videos and portfolio work. He studied Geography and classical philology at the Universities of Frankfurt am Main and Marburg / Germany.
