Biography
Professor Carolyne Nombo is a distinguished Tanzanian academic and public servant, currently serving as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, a Master's degree in Agricultural Education and Extension, and a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Human Nutrition from Sokoine University of Agriculture. Throughout her career, Prof. Nombo has held significant leadership roles, including Vice Chancellor of St. Augustine University of Tanzania and Rector of the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy. Prof. Nombo is recognized for her gender-sensitive leadership and her contributions to advancing education, science and technology development in Tanzania.
