Biography
Dr. Seydina Moussa Ndiaye holds a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse and an MBA from Paris Sorbonne University. After more than 10 years in laboratories and startups focused on Artificial Intelligence in Toulouse, Bordeaux and Paris, and a 10-year experience at the Gaston Berger University, Seydina is currently a teacher-researcher at the Virtual University of Senegal, which he helped set up as a member of the steering committee. In addition to his academic activities, Seydina is, within the UVS, Director of the program "Open Training for the Reinforcement of Competences for Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Sector (FORCE-N)" whose objective is to create 70,000 jobs in the digital sector by 2027 and which benefits from the support of the Mastercard Foundation.
In addition, Seydina is supporting the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, leading the entire digital transformation of Senegalese higher education. In particular, he coordinated the project to acquire the Senegalese supercomputer, TAOUEY.
In addition, Seydina has been an entrepreneur for over a decade in the field of software development, integrating innovative technologies such as AI, Blockchain and IoT, with several application areas ranging from health to agriculture, including transportation, insurance and territorial development.
At the national level, Seydina is a member of several bodies, including the National Digital Council, the Monitoring Committee of the "Senegal Digital 2025" plan, the Taskforce for the elaboration of the national data strategy, the Steering Committee of the Digital Technology Park Project (PTN) and the Board of Directors of SENUM SA.
He is also the President of the Senegalese Association for Artificial Intelligence (ASIA), which brings together sixty Senegalese researchers and professionals in the field, in Senegal and in the Diaspora.
At the African level, Seydina is an expert for the African Union in the implementation of Agenda 2063, including the establishment of the Pan African Virtual E-University (PAVEU) and the development of the Pan-African strategy on Artificial Intelligence.
