Biography
Rebecca Balinda is the Director of Internal Audit at Kigali Independent University ULK. She is also the main coordinator of the tripartite partnership between ULK, Kempten University of Applied Sciences and German Sparkassenstiftung Eastern Africa (DSIK).
One of the successful joint activities that this partnership has organized includes the Virtual International Entrepreneurship Summer School which brought together Rwandan and German students with business actors from the public and private sectors from both Rwanda and Germany. The main aim of the virtual summer school was to encourage innovation and creativity among participants while presenting various opportunities within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Rebecca is currently a PhD student at the University of Rwanda; she earned her Master's degree in Professional Accounting with a concentration in Auditing & Assurance from the University of Washington in Seattle and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance from Berry College.
For more than 12 years, Rebecca has worked in various local and international institutions in Rwanda and USA. She is also one of the editors of the ULK Scientific Journal.
