Biography
I am Mawuena Asem Hanson. I am currently the Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer at Practical Education Network (PEN). I supervise research projects and monitor and evaluate all projects at PEN.
I hold a master’s degree in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm-Sweden and a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Ghana, Legon-Ghana.
I am a professional with experience in public health-related issues such as access to quality education, education policy, community nutrition, maternal and child health and health policy. I also have a broad knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, project planning and implementation.
Prior to joining PEN, I worked on research projects in the School of Public Health-University of Ghana, World Vision Ghana and Karolinska Institutet in various capacities.
My passion is to engage in research in low- and middle-income countries to make data available to inform policy change.
