Biography
Maarten is a Flying Expert-First Aid at Belgian Red Cross with 5 years of experience as a nurse in Emergency and Intensive Care. In 2020, he started working for the Belgian Red Cross as a first-aid expert, first for the national First Aid department and then for the International Cooperation department.
His key focuses as a Flying Expert is delivering First Aid-expertise and building the capacity of First Aid-departments of multiple African Red Cross and Red Crescent-societies, as well as First Aid Blended Learning (FABL). Through FABL, Maarten helps implementing an innovative an scalable blended learning training-format, which helps spreading First Aid-knowledge while generating revenue for several Red Cross - Red Crescent National Societies all over the African continent.
