Biography
Kerstin Schultheiß is Scientific Assistant at the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa at Flensburg
University of Applied Sciences. She is designing online learning courses, providing intercultural pedagogical
expertise and developing strategies for the establishment of the African-German Virtual Academy. She has
background in Business Administration and holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Development
Cooperation from the University of Kaiserslautern. Presently, she is also doing her PhD on E-Learning in
Africa at Freie Universität Berlin. She is particularly interested on E-Learning and its impact on equal
access to higher education in developing countries. Over the past 7 years, she has coordinated internationalresearch projects in higher education and Alumni networks with African countries.
