Henk Louw

Biography

Henk Louw is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Academic and Professional Language Practice where he lectures in Academic Literacy in English as well as Afrikaans. His research is in Applied Linguistics with a specific focus on improving student writing and feedback on writing for both first language and second language speakers. He has published academic articles on various techniques for improving feedback on undergraduate writing and on teaching students to avoid plagiarism. He frequently presents workshops to postgraduate students on writing techniques and writing requirements within the academic environment.
