Dambeegan (Kesseven) Padachi

Biography

Kesseven Padachi is an Associate Professor in the field of Accounting and Finance at the University of Technology, Mauritius.  He is a PhD holder in small business finance and also a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK. 

He joined the University of Technology, Mauritius in June 2001 after spending some ten years in the private and public sector as a professional accountant/auditor. He has acquired wide practical experiences in the field of accounting and auditing. He has also been involved in the design and delivery of training in the area financial management and is very much involved in the Entrepreneurship Development Programme. H

He has developed a research interest in small firms and his current research area is on short-term financial management practices of SMEs. He also has research interests in Corporate Governance, e-banking and Corporate Finance. He has published a number of papers in international refereed journals and presented papers at numerous international conferences.
