Charles Lagat

Biography

Prof. Charles Lagat is an Associate Professor in the School of Business & Economics and also serves as the Director for Directorate of International Programmes, Linkages & Alumni at Moi University, Kenya. Charles has served as a Head of Marketing Department and as coordinator of different projects at Moi University. He had over 6 years industry experience in marketing and sales prior to joining the University which he has had more than 20 years academic experience. He has had an international experience as a visiting scholar at Oklahoma State University USA, participating in short term student Projects at Hogeschool Utrecht University, Netherlands and on a visiting Professor session at Donghua University, China. He has been coordinating international collaboration projects between Moi University and several Universities for over 10 years. He is currently Coordinating the Africa University Network for Education in Emergencies project for Diploma in Entrepreneurship for students in Emergencies.  Charles has been actively involved in research in fields of entrepreneurship, management, marketing and logistics. He has Published more than 40 several papers in refereed journals and have presented papers in several international conferences and also attended many Workshops and Seminars. His is a Member of the Association of International Business, a Full Member of the Kenya Institute of Management and the Marketing Society of Kenya.
