Biography
Antonio is Senior Lead for the Knowledge Equity Network (KEN), an ambitious global initiative which he has been involved in since its inception. Originally trained as a lawyer, in 1998 Antonio started to teach at the University of Leeds, where he is also currently Academic Lead for Open Educational Practice and Co-director of the Centre for Digital Research in Education. He has directed projects in fields such as podcasting for students, open educational resources, employability for students, and poetry translation. Antonio has featured as a guest keynote speaker at conferences in Japan, Brazil, Spain, Greece, Czech Republic and Mexico. He has additionally delivered professional courses on digital literacy for open practice, for a variety of academic international audiences. As an academic and educator, he has 25 years’ experience of teaching, research and leadership. His latest research, with publications in English and Spanish, focuses on student audio-visual feedback.
